Blankenese
Blankenese - A village in the city

A maze of steps and staircases all grouped around the Süllberg (mountain) gives Blankenese its widely recognised distinctive character. On the one hand you always have the Elbe in view and on the other you have the friendly “Blankenesers”, always willing to help “Quitjes”, (that is what we like to call the visitors from all over the world) with useful advice on walks, good pubs and sight seeing in Blankenese.
This means that walking here is never boring- the river, the light, the clouds and of course the ships (from small sailing boats to large ships). Why does the QMII call in to port several times a year?
Because it is so nice in Hamburg!
YOU CAN ENQUIRE ABOUT A TRIP TO THE CITY BY SHIP FROM BLANKENESE. ANOTHER THING PEOPLE LIKE TO DO IN HAMBURG IS TO HAVE A FRIENDLY CHAT IN ONE OF THE MANY BEACH CLUBS ON THE BANK OF THE ELBE RIVER. WHY DON’T YOU GIVE IT A TRY?
